Technical Communication in the World of Scientific Publishing (Nikolett Selmeczi Kovács, Sigma Technology)
This presentation aims to familiarize the audience with the fundamentals of scientific publishing and introduces the research area of technical communication in this context.
Research Efforts on Smart Wearable Devices and Their User Manuals (Anikó Simon, Sigma Technology)
In this presentation, our recent research efforts related to smart wearable devices and their user manuals are introduced. Our research group designed and carried out five series of tests, in which we addressed various aspects of user behavior and personal preference. The test participants were clustered based on their connection to user manuals: regular users, occupational users of manuals (e.g., developers), and technical writers.
The presentation provides insight to the state-of-the-art research on smart wearables and their user manuals, with particular focus on the quality and efficiency of user manuals.
