Product information is generated at a number of places in a company. The process of generating and disseminating information runs across the entire structure of the enterprise, and hence, it also runs counter to established work processes. How can the information process be better regulated, and how can the work of technical documentation be made more efficient? This is the central question in the current and the following issue of ´technische kommunikation´. We first deal with the analysis and optimization of the information process.
