General problems while creating an XML application under FrameMaker

One of the major hurdles while creating a structured application for FrameMaker (or even while introducing a structured Workflow in general) is the need for a set of rules of structure in the form of a DTD (Document Type Definition) or EDD (Element Definition Document). A prerequisite for developing such rules is that it requires the corresponding technical expertise or the involvement of external service providers. Besides the entire content-related structure of the rules, we face the next question directly as to what should be the model for creating this DTD and whether there are possibly any "standards" that need to be compatible.
