ASM, DWG, DXF, IGS, PRT, STEP: these are some of the many CAD-Formats. Anyone using these formats as a basis for technical illustrations will soon encounter the limits of technology, which crop up in the form of multiplicity of data, missing interfaces or inappropriate perspectives. Unfortunately, there is no solution in sight for a loss-free and correct conversion. But there are definitely some tips that can be of help in data conversions.
